Locally owned, and built for the long haul
We are proud to call the foothills of the Blue Ridge our home. This is where we live, and the businesses we serve are the ones we pass on the way in. Blue Ridge Shipping Solutions exists because we would rather help this part of Virginia do well than sell into it from somewhere else.

Why we started it
Pallets pile up faster than anyone plans for, and new shipping supplies cost more every year. Those two problems belong together: one business has a yard full of pallets it cannot use, and a mile down the road another needs pallets it would rather not pay full price for. Putting the two ends together, week after week, is the whole idea.
When you call, you reach the people who load the truck
We are not a national broker with a local phone number. There is no call center, no account manager three states away, and nobody reading you a script. Whoever answers knows what is in the yard, what is going out this week and whether we can be with you on Thursday, because they are the one who will be doing it.
It also means we will tell you when something does not work. If what you are asking for would cost you more than it is worth, or a job needs a trip we cannot justify this week, you will hear that rather than a yes followed by silence.
How we like to work
Turn up when we said we would, bring what we said we would bring, and take the long view. We would rather keep a customer for five years than win once on price. Most of the businesses we work with now started with one small order that a larger supplier would not have bothered with, and that is deliberate.

What we run
Our own fleet of flatbed trucks, owned rather than rented, and yard space in Central Virginia where stock is sorted, repaired and staged with our own forklift. It is a deliberately small operation and the equipment list is short on purpose.
Where to go next
The detail lives on the other pages: grades, sizes and what we stock, how free pickup works, totes, drums and crates, and the twelve counties we cover.
